What is there to do on a Cruise?

Won't I Get Bored?
Men usually ask this. But get them aboard and it is almost guaranteed that there won't be enough time in the day to do all the things they want to do (as long as you choose the right ship, for the right reason.) There are more things to do aboard today's ships than there are on almost any Caribbean Island. So, whether you want to lie back and be pampered or go nonstop, you can do it on a cruise.

Can I Learn About Computers While on a Cruise?
Absolutely. Crystal Cruises, Cunard Line and Seabourn Cruise Line are examples of cruise lines that provide computers and lectures. Computer Learning Centers aboard Crystal Harmony, Crystal Symphony and QE2 each have almost two-dozen computer workstations or laptops for class use.

Can I Get/Send E-Mail on Board?
Yes and no. It depends on your service provider. Aboard most ships, e-mail facilities have now been added to some degree or other. Several ships now sport an Internet cafe, or Internet Centers. For many companies, e-mail has now become an important revenue generator. One cruise ship, Europa (Hapag-Lloyd Cruises) even has a full personal computer in every cabin, while some other ships have installed computers in their most expensive suites.

Can I Dine When I Want To?
Yes, you can-well, almost. Most of the major cruise lines have introduced what is termed "flexible dining" whereby you can choose (with some limitations) when you want to eat, and with whom you dine. Just like going out to restaurants ashore, reservations may be required.
